Goodbye Goat Town, hello GG’s. Owner Nick Morgenstern has given his Alphabet City old-home outpost a new face, name, and menu in the form of a locally-focused neighborhood NY-style pizza joint. Chef Bobby Hellen mans the double-decker oven, slinging homemade pies and oven-baked lobster. Yes, that’s a thing. Come here for a killer customized pizza by a Jean-Georges vet and ingredients foraged from the eatery’s very own backyard. Doesn’t get much more local than that.
