The New York City Ballet is often revered for its performances showcasing choreography curated by its very own dancers. Eac winter, Balanchine’s creative institution honors this guiding principle with a series of performances featuring a world premiere. Justin Peck, Resident Choreographer, will create a new version of Aaron Copland’s iconic Americana score Rodeo based through his own interpretation, flanked by pieces from Russian choreographer and former ballet dancer Alexei Ratmansky as well as Christopher Wheeldon’s Mercurial Manoeuvres.
