Who says real aperitivo can’t be found outside of Italy? The arrival of summer brings The High Line Hotel’s courtyard concept back in the form of Alta Linea, the newest Italian-inspired spot from the team behind dell’anima, L’Artusi, Anfora, and L’Apicio. Post-workday cocktails come in the form of vibrant Italian classics and a few updated creations, from a classic Negroni with locally-made gin to a cleverly named “Rye Sharona” with rye, Nonino amaro, Manzanilla sherry, and an obligatory orange twist. Whet the appetite like a true aperitivo aficionado with a fritto misto of calamari, rock shrimp, and lemon aioli or the arancini with salumi, fontina, and fried sage, segueing into secondi with a trio of hearty dishes. Alta Linea does not accept reservations, so it’s best to arrive early for prime seating -- contact your Attaché for more details.
