Larry Gagosian is hands down one of the world’s most well-known art dealers, so it's no shock that his galleries carry with them a reputation second to none. Billionaires and jetsetters alike flock to his gallery locations in London, Rome, Hong Kong and Geneva to name a few, as well as the three he’s opened in Manhattan alone. Gagosian consistently pulls out the big guns, drawing the likes of Eli Broad and much of the Russian collecting elite with treasured gems ranging from Picasso to Basquiat to Warhol, taking contemporary art to new heights.
Since opening its doors just 20 years ago, the David Zwirner gallery has swiftly risen to critical acclaim. With a stellar roster of contemporary artists, Zwirner has come to represent over 40 names and estates and has fostered the careers of some of the biggest influencers in the contemporary movement to date. Zwirner himself has quite the following, having been named as one of Forbes’ most powerful American art dealers, thanks in part to his work with such icons as Dan Flavin and Claes Oldenburg. In the past few years, he has expanded his reach internationally, adding a 10,000 square foot London outpost (as well as an additional NYC gallery) to his iconic 19th Street space.
