There’s nothing quite like Paris in the springtime -- unless the ante is upped with the City of Lights’ most revered hotel. We’ve mapped out our dream itinerary for the perfect journée about town, sandwiched between nights spent at the one and only Peninsula Paris.

Wake up in the comfort of Europe’s very first (and dare we say most breathtaking) Peninsula Hotel, just steps from world famous Paris museums, landmarks, and shopping destinations. Take a moment to savor the stunning Arc de Triomphe views, but not for too long...there are tartines to be enjoyed and espresso to be sipped. Breakfast at the local boulangerie awaits.

Fuel up on petit déjeuner mainstays and head straight for the Seine -- nothing beats a morning stroll along the breathtaking river that dear old Paris straddles, flanked by booksellers with stalls chock full of antiquarian books and vintage postcards. Stop for a cup of Paris’s finest on the way at La Caféothèque, serving up a mean single origin since 2007. Spend the afternoon wandering up and down the Champs Elysées, stopping again for a leisurely haute lunch at Alain Ducasse’s Eighth Arrondissement crown jewel, tucked inside the Plaza Athénée.

Hit the streets once again for a journey on foot through the Jardin des Tuileries, taking in the scenery on the way to the Centre Georges Pompidou, where some of the world’s most astounding contemporary art awaits discovery. Alas, the sun sets over the Marais and the day comes to a close, but not without an unforgettable dining experience. Head to Le Chateaubriand for the ultimate Paris dîner...and don’t forget the cheese plate for dessert.
