Wednesday, November 22
79th Street and Columbus Avenue

Preview the larger-than-life characters for the famous Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The inflation takes place at the American Museum of Natural History on the Upper West Side, with the public entrance located at West 79th Street and Columbus Avenue. Balloons begin taking shape around 4:30 to 5 p.m., and last admission to the balloon inflation area is 9:15 p.m.


Thursday, November 23

The annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, which began in 1924, is the world's largest parade, and the second-oldest Thanksgiving parade in the United States. The three-hour event features character balloons, the nation’s best high school marching bands, and musical acts, including performances by the casts of this season’s notable Broadway musicals.
