SAN FRANCISCO TURKEY TROT

Enjoy an invigorating fun run, before the parades, football games, and feasting. The annual San Francisco Turkey Trot features three routes: a 5-mile Turkey Trail Trot for runners; 3-mile Pilgrim Promenade for walkers; and a 100-meter Kid’ Gobbler Chase.

Celebrate and brighten up your holidays by bringing light to others. GLIDE helps meet the needs of others by serving thousands of free Thanksgiving dinners, and providing thousands of bags of groceries to those who would otherwise go without. GLIDE recruits thousands of volunteers as well as accepts donations of money, toys and food – especially turkeys!
INDIGENOUS PEOPLE’S SUNRISE CEREMONY

The Indigenous People’s Sunrise Gathering is a one-day event and a commemoration of the 1969-71 occupation of Alcatraz by the “Indians of All Tribes.” The ticket booth opens at 3:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 23, and boats will depart Pier 33 approximately every 15 minutes from 4:15 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. General admission is $14.00 per person, and children under 5 years of age are free.
